Animation director Anna, originally from Cologne, is now based in London.

Her work ranges from stop motion, 2d to 3d computer animation. It tends to have a very tactile quality and often draws on fairy tales and surrealism. Behind her sweet creatures lies some rather dark humour.

She has worked on award winning animation films and music promos, including Cannes nominated short film "Cooked".

In 2010, she was selected as only one of 10 British animators to take part in Reanimate, a feature animation development scheme run by warp films.

Anna has just finished directing "the squirrel and the penguin", a film project that launched this year's UK Jewish Film Festival. It has been shortlisted for a public choice award at the British Animation Awards.

Currently, Anna is working on a short film project about schizophrenia with the Wellcome trust.
